HPLC is an effective analytical technique for separating, identifying, and quantifying the components of a mixture. However, for identification and quantification of components required standards (reference compounds). Different components of the sample interact differently with the stationary phase, resulting in separation depending on retention time (the time it takes a component to pass through the column). It is widely employed in numerous fields, including medicines, biochemistry, chemistry, environmental science, and food science.
